Robin Bennett
Founder and Trustee Director
Robin founded The Aktuel Translation Group (incorporating PTI) in London in 1992, after graduating from London University (Royal Holloway) with a degree in Modern Languages.
Robin now writes books and lectures on Entrepreneurship.
Married with 3 children, he will play just about any sport (poorly) when time allows.

Charlie Homewood
Managing Director
Charlie finished his degree in French and German at the University of Durham in 2012.
Having initially worked at Aktuel as an in-house translator and project manager, he took on a more operational role in 2014 and has been our Managing Director since November 2022.
Charlie’s interests include cricket, squash, tennis, chess and theatre.

Francesca Scaccabarozzi
Project Director
Francesca is from Italy and graduated from the University of Bergamo in 2016 with a Master’s Degree in foreign languages and literatures (focusing on English and French).
After working in translation for a couple of years in Italy, she came to the UK in May 2018.
She enjoys swimming and climbing.

Kim Siong Lai
Project Manager and In-house Translator
Kim Siong is from Mauritius and graduated from Goldsmiths university in 2022 with a master’s degree in translation.
After working in the translation industry for about a year, he joined Aktuel as a translator and project manager in 2023.
He enjoys cooking and playing video games.

Minnie Fawcett
Project Manager and In-house Translator
Minnie is a recent graduate from the University of Leeds with a BA in German and Arabic.
Her interest in translation came from exploring how dialects can be translated. In 2023 she joined Aktuel as an in-house translator and project manager.
In her free time Minnie enjoys dancing, running and reading books.
